Melida Gonzalez Melida I. Gonzalez, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. "Meli" is a California Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) with a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego campus and certified by the NCCAOM with a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.). Meli is Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English). She was born in San Diego, but grew up in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. She completed her undergraduate education in General Studies in Science in 2003. She returned to San Diego California with the purpose of studying a career within the Medical/Health field. It wasn’t until she had the opportunity to travel around Europe countries that lead her interest in studying a career in Alternative Medicine. During her career, she spent a trimester in Beijing, China studying Mandarin Language at BLCU University, and learning more about the Chinese culture. In San Diego she completed a clinic shift in San Diego Hospice and the Institute of palliative care, and gain knowledge about treating patients with AIDS, Cancer and other life-limiting illness addressing their physical and emotional needs.

Within her field of practice includes orthopedic and musculoskeletal problems, emotional problems such as stress, insomnia, depression, menstrual disorders, weigh loss, gastrointestinal, menopausal symptoms, and other conditions with acupuncture, diet and herbal medicine. She practices Chinese and Japanese style Acupuncture depending on patients preferences.
